The EXODUS

The EXODUS of Israel.

The main questions about the EXODUS and the route are:

1. What are the locations of

         a. The Sea of Reed (Red sea?)
b. Succoth.
c. Etham.
d. Elim.
e. Rephidim.
c. Mount Sinai.
d. Mount Horeb.

     2. How fast could Israel travel?
                             3. How fast did the Egyptians react in persuit?
          4. Where did the Amalekites live?
                                      5. Is Nuweiba(Red sea) the place of crossing?

EXODUS of Israel  geography and timing.

Numbers 33:1-47. ; Ex. 13,14  (just compair)

1  Here are the stages in the journey of the Israelites when they came out of Egypt by divisions under the leadership of Moses and Aaron.

2  At the LORD’s command Moses recorded the stages in their journey. This is their journey by stages:

3  The Israelites set out from Rameses on the fifteenth day of the first month, the day after the Passover. They marched out boldly in full view of all the Egyptians,    (15-1-)

4  who were burying all their firstborn, whom the LORD had struck down among them; for the LORD had brought judgment on their gods.

5  The Israelites left Rameses and camped at Succoth.

6  They left Succoth and camped at Etham, on the edge of the desert.

7  They left Etham, turned back to Pi Hahiroth, to the east of Baal Zephon, and camped near Migdol.

8  They left Pi Hahiroth and passed through the sea into the desert, and when they had travelled for three days in the Desert of Etham, they camped at Marah.

9  They left Marah and went to Elim to camp, where there were twelve springs and seventy palm trees,

10  They left Elim (Wadi Garandel) and camped by the Red Sea.

11  They left the Red Sea and camped in the Desert of Sin. (15-21-)

12  They left the Desert of Sin and camped at Dophkah.

13  They left Dophkah and camped at Alush.

14  They left Alush and camped at Rephidim, where there was no water for the people to drink.

15  They left Rephidim ( Wadi Feiran) and camped in the Desert of Sinai.

16  They left the Desert of Sinai and camped at Kibroth Hattaavah.

17  They left Kibroth Hattaavah and camped at Hazeroth.

18  They left Hazeroth and camped at Rithmah.

19  They left Rithmah and camped at Rimmon Perez.

20  They left Rimmon Perez and camped at Libnah.

21  They left Libnah and camped at Rissah.

22  They left Rissah and camped at Kehelathah.

23  They left Kehelathah and camped at Mount Shepher.

24  They left Mount Shepher and camped at Haradah.

25  They left Haradah and camped at Makheloth.

26  They left Makheloth and camped at Tahath.

27  They left Tahath and camped at Terah.

28  They left Terah and camped at Mithcah.

29  They left Mithcah and camped at Hashmonah.

30  They left Hashmonah and camped at Moseroth.

31  They left Moseroth and camped at Bene Jaakan.

32  They left Bene Jaakan and camped at Hor Haggidgad.

33  They left Hor Haggidgad and camped at Jotbathah.

34  They left Jotbathah and camped at Abronah.

35  They left Abronah and camped at Ezion Geber.

36  They left Ezion Geber and camped at Kadesh, in the Desert of Zin.

37  They left Kadesh and camped at Mount Hor, on the border of Edom.

38  At the LORD’s command Aaron the priest went up Mount Hor, where he died on the first day of the fifth month of the fortieth year after the Israelites came out of Egypt.

39  Aaron was a hundred and twenty-three years old when he died on Mount Hor.

40  The Canaanite king of Arad, who lived in the Negev of Canaan, heard that the Israelites were coming.

41  They left Mount Hor and camped at Zalmonah.

42  They left Zalmonah and camped at Punon.

43  They left Punon and camped at Oboth.

44  They left Oboth and camped at Iye Abarim, on the border of Moab.

Hello. dear readers.

After visiting the full scale duplicate of Noah’s Ark in the Netherlands I felt a strong attraction to investigate the bible more deep about the authenticity in bible.

Especially about the geography and chronology of the Flood and Exodus.

As a former chemist researcher I love to digg a bit deeper than normal.
In 2009 I was able to join the ABR (Associates of Biblical Research) in excavations at Ai. www.biblearchaelogy.org

Through them I discovered other christian research websites:
http://www.wnd.com/2006/03/35186/   ; www.baseinstitute.org ; http://christianity.about.com/od/biblestorysummaries/p/noahsarkflood.htm

Because of my love to fly (also in Spirit) Google- earth seemed to be a great tool to investigate the bible.   (like looking from God’s prospective, halleluja)

Theoretical possibilities:

1. After touching  Mnt. Ararat. the sinking of the waters started, which resulted in an induced horizontal surface current south eastward (See picture: red line away form Mt. Ararat).
Deep sea currents were discovered by the oceangraph M.F. Maury (1806-1873) after reading in Ps. 8:8 the birds of the air, and the fish of the sea, all that swim the paths of the seas”
2. This direction is most likely, because of the presence of a high mountain ridge (north, north-west, west, south-west around Mt. Ararat.

3. The total sinking time is 216 days until the earth was dry. (waters dried after 169 days)
4. The distance from the top of Mnt. Ararat south eastward may differ from 80km. up to lake Aras and river Aras. 180km.(the same elevation)

Assumptions:(at the time of the flood 4500 B.C.)
1. Before the Flood no deep oceans and less high mountains.
2. After the raining stopped: earthquakes, continents formation/oceans.
3. Mountains increased in height. (Mt. Ararat increased from 2660 up to 5100m.)

40 days raining and 216 days water sinking until earth dry.

Genesis 6:22 Noah did everything just as God commanded him.
Genesis 7:1The LORD then said to Noah, "Go into the ark, you and your whole family, because I have found you righteous in this generation.
Genesis 7:5And Noah did all that the LORD commanded him.
Genesis 7:6Noah was six hundred years old when the floodwaters came on the earth.
Genesis 7:7And Noah and his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives entered the ark to escape the waters of the flood.
Genesis 7:9male and female, came to Noah and entered the ark, as God had commanded Noah.
Genesis 7:11 In the six hundredth year of Noah‘s life, on the seventeenth day of the second month—on that day all the springs of the great deep burst forth, and the floodgates of the heavens were opened.
Genesis 7:13 On that very day Noah and his sons, Shem, Ham and Japheth, together with his wife and the wives of his three sons, entered the ark.
Genesis 7:15Pairs of all creatures that have the breath of life in them came to Noahand entered the ark.
Genesis 7:16 The animals going in were male and female of every living thing, as God had commanded Noah. Then the LORD shut him in.
Genesis 7:23 Every living thing on the face of the earth was wiped out; men and animals and the creatures that move along the ground and the birds of the air were wiped from the earth. Only Noahwas left, and those with him in the ark.
Genesis 8:1But God remembered Noah and all the wild animals and the livestock that were with him in the ark, and he sent a wind over the earth, and the waters receded.
Genesis 8:6After forty days Noah opened the window he had made in the ark.

2 Petrus 2:5 en de wereld van de voortijd niet gespaard heeft, maar Noach, de prediker der gerechtigheid, met zeven anderen bewaard heeft, toen Hij de zondvloed over de wereld der goddelozen bracht;

Noach's Ark floating and landing site?

Floatingpath to Mt. Ararat
Floatingpath to landingplace.

Chronology:
So the ark sank with the water and floated away from Mt. Ararat.
Mountaintops of 2800m. visible.

The horizontal floatingspeed increased because of underwater currents.
The main direction is towards the lower regions at 800m. (lake Aras).

Possible landing: 80 km south east (120°) at river 800m.

Genesis 8:9But the dove could find no place to set its feet because there was water over all the surface of the earth; so it returned to Noahin the ark. He reached out his hand and took the dove and brought it back to himself in the ark.

Genesis 8:11 When the dove returned to him in the evening, there in its beak was a freshly plucked olive leaf! Then Noahknew that the water had receded from the earth.

Genesis 8:13 By the first day of the first month of Noah‘s six hundred and first year, the water had dried up from the earth. Noah then removed the covering from the ark and saw that the surface of the ground was dry.

Genesis 8:15 Then God said to Noah,

Genesis 8:18 So Noah came out, together with his sons and his wife and his sons’ wives.

Genesis 8:20 Then Noah built an altar to the LORD and, taking some of all the clean animals and clean birds, he sacrificed burnt offerings on it.
God's promise; Noah's altar-sacrifice.

Genesis 9:1 Then God blessed Noah and his sons, saying to them, "Be fruitful and increase in number and fill the earth.

Genesis 9:8 Then God said to Noah and to his sons with him:

Genesis 9:17 So God said to Noah, "This is the sign of the covenant I have established between me and all life on the earth."

Genesis 9:18 The sons of Noah who came out of the ark were Shem, Ham and Japheth. (Ham was the father of Canaan.)

Genesis 9:19 These were the three sons of Noah, and from them came the people who were scattered over the earth.

Water   accounting:
40 days rain:
1. Where did this water come from?
a. Outside earth. (Gen. 1:6,7.)
b. molten ice, snow.
c. From all.
d. What is the effect of 2660m. water (266 bar) on the earth?
2. Where will the water go to?
a. Evaporation into outherspace.(against gravityforce!)
b. Oceans became more deep by vulcanic activity.

There is one point more to consider. The Bible not only describes the appearance of the rainbow, but also claims to know the reason for its introduction. God gave the rainbow, claims the Bible, as a guarantee that He would never cause a global Flood on the Earth to destroy everything.

“And I have set my rainbow in the clouds, and it will be the sign of the covenant between me and the earth. Whenever I bring clouds over the earth and the rainbow appears in the clouds, I will remember my covenant between me and you and all living creatures of every kind. Never again will the waters become a Flood to destroy all life.” (Genesis 9:13-15)

It is extraordinary that this claim is also now wholly deductive from scientific observation! (Figure 4) The sight of a rainbow is a guarantee that the illuminating solar rays are parallel, which in turn guarantees they are not passing through a body of water above the Earth. The absence of a body of water above the Earth is reasonable evidence that there will not be another global Flood. And God promised all of these things in the Bible, written long before the science was in place to deduce it.

Assessment of the Claims and Facts
Our initial premise was that if one could scientifically analyze the most outlandish and “unbelievable” story of the entire Bible and demonstrate a plausibility, we would be challenged to stop and reconsider the Bible’s claim to be the word of God. For those skeptical about the veracity of the Bible, let’s assume that the Bible is NOT the inspired Word of God and came about by uninspired human authorship. We can then make valued judgment of the Bible’s claims in the light of the science considered above.
